The Alchemy of Sophia: A Women’s Retreat Exploring Sacred Feminine Landscapes.
A group mindfulness women’s retreat offered a ‘pilgrimage’ and adventure in the Dordogne region of France, venturing deep into one’s own heart and the heart of Perigord Noir, the ‘dark Forest’ of Evergreen Oaks. This event took place in the bucolic countryside near the medieval village of Sarlat and the Lascaux caves. Immersing in French culture, we connected with history, culture and ancestral energies there. While also practicing mindfulness and presence, we deepened our connections within and without with the elements of earth, water, fire and air—becoming attuned to the magnificent internal and external landscapes that unfurled before us on The Renaissance Road. Participants were executive and professional women seeking a meaningful mindfulness, stress-reduction and cultural adventure to “recharge their batteries” and refresh their beings.
“Wonderful! I recently joined a mindfulness coaching retreat with Elizabeth, and it was an incredibly enriching experience. Her thoughtful pre-retreat activities, detailed planning and the depth of the retreat itself went far beyond what I had hoped for. Elizabeth brought insight, care and presence to every part of the journey. I wholeheartedly recommend her and am already looking forward to the next opportunity to learn with her.”
“Perceptive, insightful and caring. I had the opportunity to participate in a mindfulness coaching retreat with Elizabeth recently. She exceeded my already sky-high expectations for the experience with her pre-retreat activities, meticulous preparation, and meaningful retreat experiences. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Elizabeth, and I eagerly await the next mindfulness retreat!”

Building the Patient Active Perspective: Promote Empowerment of Patients and their Families Amidst a Serious Diagnosis
A Continuing Education Workshop
Overview: Receiving a new serious health diagnosis can be an overwhelming, life-altering event. Healthcare systems of today, while advanced, are increasingly complex. Patients and their families often experience these systems as frustrating and difficult to navigate, adding an extra layer of stress and confusion. This workshop equips healthcare and mental health professionals with essential skills for managing worry, fostering resilience, and actively engaging in the healthcare journey so that patients and families can rediscover an internal locus of control and increase their well-being and functioning through a health crisis. Become truly patient-centered as a professional and within your system as a change agent, as you help to empower patients to take the Patient Active approach.

The Renaissance Road approach makes use of evidence-based practices in consulting such as appreciative inquiry and Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats Analyses (SWOT) coupled with Renaissance Road innovations to help you identify how to prepare now for the road ahead.
What’s Your Story?
All of Awareness Communications™ consulting initiatives start with building a new and evolving awareness of your story and that of your organization. The consulting relationship itself is a customized, unique journey together, not a cookie cutter experience, in which
- We examine the nature of your professional story of your journey so far and the journey ahead.
- Let’s also consider your organization’s story to date and strategically for the future.
- We can ultimately integrate these elements to co-create new ways to think about the way these weave together—building new possible narratives emerging from these stories, as well as perspective and awareness.
- Then together we generate and deliver new messaging and strategies with innovation and clarity—using a seven step proprietary process.
Our activities as we journey together along the Renaissance Road are all designed to help you along your way to achieve the enlightened solutions in the awareness communications you are seeking to develop or enhance. Our proprietary processes help you to find your way as you move toward your True North.
“When our awareness awakens, a single thought, tiny though it seems, may contain a universe. Now, that’s enlightening.” ~C. Elizabeth Leach
